Well about five weeks are left in the summer school year, so the thing isn’t as long as it feels like it considering we only have about 18 classes left. The whole thing isn’t as bad as it feels like it really. Especially with how cool it’s been recently. I don’t know, maybe the global warming is regressing or something because it’s been really pleasant lately. So apparently Honda has also cut production of some of their larger vehicles. If only more companies would do this, maybe we’d have more gas to go around. In my opinion, SUVs should be reserved to people who need them such as Police, Fire, and Construction. A mom driving to CVS doesn’t need to crush everything in her path, nor waste our fuel reserves with a car that gets about ten miles per gallon.
But the Hummer is already in trouble, and not many car companies are going to have much of a choice soon, so in the end this “Global Warming” stuff isn’t so bad after all if it keeps our gas reserves for a little longer and leads to energy breakthroughs. The manufacturers of these hybrid and electric cars seem to fail to realize that in order to mass market a car to the general public, they have to stop making vehicles that look like oversized RC cars. The Honda Civic Hybrid is probably the only hybrid that doesn’t look, or drive like a giant piece of turd. I know for now the technology is still too weak to provide faster vehicles (other than the ridiculously priced Tesla Roadster) but at the very least, make the car look normal. Gee whiz. People, especially America, are amazingly shallow, and looks mean everything. Hopefully they realize this soon enough to stop making bubble cars already.
Some people may get off on those designs, but by far, ordinary people don’t, and that’s something they’ll have to consider when making the next generation. Hopefully by the time I’m a full grown adult, both the designs and performances will have increased. I’m sure it will though since technology seems to grow exponentially every year or so. That new Honda Accord Coupe though, thats one hell of an automobile though. 268 horsepower, 248 torque, V6 Engine. All the gadgets you could pray for too, inside and out. I so want one. The damn thing even has an available First Aid Kit. I’ll blog on something else later. The day’s only starting for me. Maybe I’ll be able to get out of the house today and make contact with civilization other than school. If you can call that civilization at all.
